1. At least 228 students enjoyed cool music, free time, and prison ball at the September 90% on time party! 2. Homecoming was a lot of fun! A special thank you to the Student Council, Class Advisors, and Mrs. Benallie for the planning and coordination of various Homecoming events. 3. Helpfulness is on the rise: Students are holding doors, placing trash in trash cans, patiently taking turns at the water fountain, and making an effort to move through the hallways in an orderly fashion. 4. 1. At least 70% of WHS students, in all grades, are on time to classes. A surprise party is forthcoming! 2. Alumni visited our school to reminisce, play volleyball, and dance! 3. There were a large number of parents who attended Parent-Teacher Conferences. Next time we host PTC at WHS, we will set-up in the gym to allow better communication. 4. A great number of students are on getting into their assigned seats, ready to learn, before the final bell rings. Thanks to all students, staff, and faculty for the extra patience and cooperation during MAP Testing week. A special appreciation to Ms. Redhouse, Mrs. Whitehead, Mr. Baldwin, Mr. Reynolds, and Mr. Hansen for additional help to keep the test running smoothly. Test results will be available soon! Congratulations to our Student Council for 2012-2013: Kenissha Joe (Pres), Edgar Haskan (VP), Dealiva Jay (Sec), and Skyler Madison (Treas). Thanks to Mr. Knight for setting up the vision screening area, Mr. Baldwin for facilitating the set-up for YPP, Mr. Reynolds for improving the MAP testing schedule, and Ms. Capitan for getting the Picture Day to run efficiently. The school is starting to become a more professional learning environment. The Safe Transitions and Reduced Tardiness (START) program will help. Thanks to Mr. Lewis for helping the lunch line run smoothly. Native American Composers Apprenticeship Program (NACAP) participants elegantly introduced themselves in Navajo before ETHEL presented their original compositions to various audiences.
