7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th graders decreased the percentage of students earning F’s last week! 2. Students earning all A’s, B’s, and C’s by 4 pm on Tues, Jan 28, will earn a Free Time Ticket for a fun activity (with food) on Fri, Jan 31. 3. Parents organized and staffed successful fundraising for girls’ and boys’ basketball. Students are getting right to work during Academic Support time. Some students have moved from a D+, D, D-, or F to A’s, B’s, or C’s. In addition, more reading requirements for LA classes are being accomplished! 2. Students reported for Benchmark Assessments; thank you for listening to the intercom announcements and responding correctly. 3. 1. Thank you to the students who completed the survey about the January 7 Student Inservice Day; favorite sessions included US Marshals (37%), NYC (26%), and Peshlakai Family (23%). Comments written at end of survey will help us plan the next Inservice Day (Tuesday, March 18). 2. The bell schedule has changed slightly to include more time in 5th hour; this additional time will allow teachers to provide academic support to help students to pass all classes, achieve 85% course mastery in ALEKS, and complete out-of-class assignments on a more consistent basis. 2.
